Company Took A Turn For the Worst in North America
Pros
Specifically referring to Lufthansa Technik's subsidiary in the United States for both Pros & Cons. - Flight benefits - Very little micro management - Work schedule flexibility - You'll never get fired (also see cons) - Career Opportunities (pre-Covid)
Cons
- Mediocre health benefits and (now) average 401k. - Below average salaries for the industry. - Unexplainably bad managers / management across the entire organization. - Misalignment and miscommunication across departments including with other divisions/mother company. - Disconnect between working level and managers fostering unrealistic and sometimes impossible goals. - Loss of almost all "good" talent due to extremely bad management of pandemic-related efforts. - Lack of industry knowledge creates vast obstacles, delusions, and often times generating many issues. - Terribly poor cultural diversity / understanding. A German company with absolutely no will to adhere to American culture in even the most minimalistic capacity. - Work place harassment by some managers (non-sexual), fostering a hostile environment. - Senior leadership in-region incapable of making hard decisions thus enabling a stand-still for months agitating many necessary strategic topics. - Bad employees will never be reprimanded or fired thus many teams are filled with majority of incapable individuals.
