      Pros

      a month of vacation is decent. you can be dead weight and float through your career there if you want. if you're lucky your boss will be remote and lack of oversight will counterbalance the inane crap coming out of monroe.

      Cons

      leadership is drowning in the alligator petting zoo that is monroe. health insurance is spendy. lots of dead weight lifers. pace of stuff is glacial. better to do nothing than do something and make a mistake. facilities and morale in the crapper. management probably priming the joint for a sale. i hate the color green now.

      Pros

      Broad portfolio with top-notch offerings across the base offer something employees can be proud of. Opportunities to learn abound. Cloud offerings are some of the best in the industry and improving.

      Cons

      CenturyLink can't seem to stop acting like an old telco. Large base of legacy staff with outdated business ideas and practices are a heavy anchor to opportunities to grow. Continues to spend money marketing just to the consumer, leaving no brand-awareness for the rest of the portfolio. While there may be growth areas, there are other very large pockets where career growth is seemingly deliberately stymied. Integration of Tier3 and Savvis has been handled very poor, and the exodus of top-talent continues.
