      Great place to work for a nursing student.

      Cons

      Majority of students couldn't get a nursing job in my unit after externship.

      We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience as a nursing student at Anne Arundel Medical Center. In the last year, we received over 1400 applications from over 500 unique users for the positions of Nursing Graduate. Unfortunately we do not have opportunities for every student nurse who is working in the health system. However, we hope that you will consider applying for a staff nurse position as an experienced nurse in the future. Our goal for the nursing student positions is to provide valuable hands-on experience to current nursing students.

      Busy office, never running out of projects to tackle, nice to be helping patients.

      Management, no merit based pay increases, poorly paid for the amount of work, constantly understaffed, high turnover

All AAMC employees are eligible for an annual merit increase based on their performance. You’ll be hearing more about this process later this fall. Turnover is also something we watch closely and it’s one of our True North metrics. Your leader can share more information with you about that.
