Pros

Lynden's management are smart, conservative thinking pros. They work with a sense of urgency and provide a thoughtful and considerate culture. The tenure of the employees is testament to that. Over time I've seen much discontent in other companies. Employee turnover is an important indicator.

Cons

It is true that opportunities do not abound because of employee longevity. However, if you work hard and conscientiously while getting along with people, your brains, energy and talent will take you where you want to go.

Pros

A small company feel/culture for an organization of this size, in terms of headcount and revenue. I found Lynden very proactive in employee relations and the long tenure of many employees in the company speaks to that. You could feel that the company trusted you; and to me that was huge.

Cons

While the company went through some intense restructuring, there was little communication. It made a lot of people nervous. One of them was me.

Cons

Wasn't a fan of the union. I understand the strategic positioning of having a union shop and that is okay. It was the union I didn't care for and they didn't care for me either.
