Pros
Opportunity to drive results at the project and corporate level. Your job is defined as much by what you are assigned by what you choose to create and step into. Being surrounded by exceptionally smart and talented people is invigorating. While you work through the challenges, you laugh with brite people. Good stuff.
Cons
Like any rapidly growing corporation which is successful we struggle to raise the bar and execute the work to those standards. There is inherently a wide range of skills and capabilities when you have talented executives and the most basic of labor levels in one coporation. So you mentor everywhere you can. Strategic alignment for where to help grow the business is tricky and the hours can be long when you dive in... I think the build it organically (eg software applications) is a chore.
