Nicest people, risky new direction

Pros

-Nice people -Exceptionally generous benefits, for company size (No medical premium, 100% coverage after $500 ded) -Competitive edge (exclusive technology/science) -Great family company/community -Competitive wages for area

Cons

-Family owned company and there is no shortage of local family members. Will unabashedly bring in family to fill roles (as is their right) -Company trying to push into data services without the appropriate experience/resources. Restructured THE ENTIRE COMPANY around this vision, and has yet to show any market interest -Because of all the tight-knit family/small-community relationships, EXTREMELY confrontation averse. You can fail outright or be downright incompetent and managers will be hesitant to say anything until it's too late.

Mormon based company

Pros

Great benefits, great for Mormons

Cons

This co. Is not always looking after the best interest of the employees nor clients. They collude to keep bad employees because of religious reasons and the HR dept is not independent in action as it is ran through the OP and PRES. They have a new direction of software and the clients are the ones getting the backseat on what was once one of the best customer service in the industry. The nepotism is rampid there which also causes many types of issues! The program of Outward Mindset on employees is a mandatory program but management does not follow it themselves.

Wholesome but limited

Pros

Wonderful benefits such as affordable health, dental, vision (I paid under 50 per paycheck). Company lunches every Wednesday. Paid time off, 401k matching. Culture is very caring, and family centric.

Cons

Lack of upward mobility. Family of existing higher up employees are basically guaranteed jobs, and higher up positions are regularly filled by church members with no experience. It is very frustrating to give your heart to a company and hit a glass ceiling because you aren't family or in the church :(
