Super helpful and friendly environment, although remote. Everyone was still ready and willing to help!
Cons
Constant changes in the gas prices that we as a company couldn’t control, so lots of angry customers. Nothing we could do but give crappy advice to customers on how to save on gas/electricity
The SOC (system operations center) has a great group of people many of whom were like my second family after 9 years working there. I was very happy working there despite it being challenging and stressful at times. The SOC supervisor is the best I've ever had who will come talk to you in person and not just send emails. He is an advocate for the people who work for him and gets results from him people with near perfect performance. The company pays well, good retirement and the best insurance around with an HMO. All around there are a lot of positives.
Cons
During Covid they lost a lot of people for various reasons. Covid put a lot of stress on the people and the company but the company managed better than most without issuing any mandates upon its employees.
As an intern, I felt respected by my coworkers. The program also took into consideration what the intern's interests were and made adjustments based on that.
Cons
No cons really. Sometimes I felt like I could have had more to do.
