Pros

They are open to working remotely Pay is ok They give a lot of PTO but it's not really PTO

Cons

PTO is pretend time off, don't expect to ever get uninterrupted time off. There is very little clear direction from leadership, it's whoever is yelling the loudest. Employees are not appreciated unless you are in the right location good luck getting anything you need. They buy a lot of tools but forget to actually but the right number of licenses for people to actually use the tools they need. The people who do the actual work are overworked, under-paid, under-appreciated while upper level management doesn't seem to care. There have been entirely too many SVP and Director level people hired who don't seem to really have a job function other than the knew the CTO previously. They pretend to be an Agile shop but really are very far from being one. Benefits are awful, it's cheaper to not use the insurance that it is to use it.

Pros

When you are salaried you are not micro managed. Nice gym and they have a cafeteria at least even though the food is not that great.

Cons

No accountability on the supervisors or managers, MFLCs get very little vacation time if any, costs of benefits from your paycheck is high and the plan itself is a CDHP which is very crappy, they blame you even if you are under a manager's direction, structure is not that great, payroll department is very nasty and unprofessional, and no way to contact HR directly. They will take your whole paycheck without telling you for mistakes made by someone else in management or disability company. HR can be unresponsive when the company is in the wrong. If you are a minority they will write you up quicker than if you were the majority. Majority demotion and minority will get fired.

Pros

Working from home has some benefits and having some scheduling flexibility can be helpful.

Cons

The position was more user friendly for employees when the program was owned solely by The Management Group. Since, the program became Magellan Health, the communication with management and especially HR, has suffered. Magellan is so large that it is impossible to speak with HR, as everything has to be communicated via an app link on the computer. This is extremely impersonal. The exempt position can include overtime hours and it is difficult to ever feel caught up with work. Case loads of 50 participants are too high for the amount of work expectations that have increased in the last 18 months to provide quality care for all participants involved. The increasing demands of work have caused a work/life balance that is no longer desirable.
