Pros

The paycheck was on time, telecommute options offered, and PTO was generous. That's not enough to stay somewhere. Benefits were otherwise horrendous.

Cons

Where to begin? The company has undergone so much change in senior leadership the last few years your head will spin. CEO, CMO, CTO, the list goes on and on. The company has NO IDEA what it is or where it wants to go. Understaffed and overworked, most quality staff just find another job elsewhere. The current leadership are narcissistic sociopaths. RUN away from this place.

Pros

Team members you work with

Cons

Barry Smith, the clueless and selfish CEO Total disregard for employees and employee voices. Company culture that has been completely destroyed since Barry Smith became CEO. Lack of innovation and lack of investment in new products, technology and employees. The “HR” team is all but non-existent and the ones that have made it through all the cuts absolutely do not care about employees. HR has failed the company and employees. No more measurement of performance, no more recognition of accomplishments and no more distinguishing between poor performing and superior performing employees. Company is too top heavy. Leadership is not focused on the right strategies to move the company forward.

Pros

1) There are decent and caring IT staff still left in Magellan's St. Louis office. 2) There are some talented IT staff still left in Magellan's St. Louis office but that number is dwindling due to voluntary and involuntary departures. 3) The PTO is decent.

Cons

1) The CTO is unfortunately arrogant and widely despised in the rank and file of St. Louis IT. He has even been bold enough to take credit when talent take better jobs. He is absolutely right to take credit for the exodus of talent though because he is the main reason people are leaving. 2) What is generally being left behind are brown nosing yes people or those too afraid to leave the company and those individuals are often being promoted past their level of competence. 3) The pay is well below average. 4) Favoritism is rampant. 5) Self promotion on Facebook's workplace is blatant.
