Pros

The people are great to work with. Most groups partner together to do the right thing. Flexible work schedules and locations. Good technology improvement to help employees collaborate when not co-located.

Cons

The company values are not demonstrated by the Executive leadership in the Operations team. There are many teams that have an excellent culture of accountability, respect, trust, and innovation. Even senior leaders in the operations team are not empowered to make the most basic decisions. There is no trust or respect of the leadership team or the staff below the C-level. Communication is missing - specifically active, and empathetic listening by C-level leaders. Instead, they are defensive and dismissive. HR is more aptly called the non-human department - as it's impossible to reach a human. Adding technological methods to get answers and information is great, but not as a replacement for people.

C-Suite lost in the clouds

Pros

It’s a job. They are trying to invest in the Facilities so they look nicer and less like a hospital.

Cons

The benefits are awful and expensive for a “healthcare company”. Management heavy organization but little to no communications from the true C-Suite. HR doesn’t exist and makes you spend hours trying to find an answer to questions via apps and websites vs talking with someone. The company takes on new business without any clarity on how they will be profitable. Can anyone explain how we actually model our business decisions? The company also continues to acquire firms with no idea or plan on how to best integrate the companies and capitalize on synergies. New systems and technologies are pushed out with no training or communications. Users have to just figure it out amongst themselves. The company pushes for transparency in regards to individual performance goals with performance connections yet sends a basic email when bonuses are due stating....”we did not achieve target funding levels for our Incentive Compensation Plan” ....no communication on how much or what % would be funded yet there is supposed to be some specific mathematical formula that calculates the bonus pool. I would like to say I’m surprised but I’m really no longer shocked by anything here.

Pros

People I've worked with during my time here.

Cons

If you are not n the 'IT' crowd, your opinions do not matter. I understand that usually when a change in guard happens, it comes with certain expectations but this one vast exceeded any expectations that anyone has ever had for how stupid a new top brass can act. Steps that led to where it is right now: 1. Coming in with the impression that the St. Louis employees do not know anything. This created a feeling of betrayal and mistrust. The so called curriculum was a slap to everyone's face from our newly appointed overlords from OH and CA who assumed that MO folks would take it lying down. WRONG! 2. Adoption of social media as a means of getting everyone to bond. This meant that the social butterflies and suck-ups thrived. They got promoted and so on. 3. Transparency needs to come from within. Loyalty cannot be demanded, etc, etc. Our "knowledgeable" superiors forgot some of the basic principles of keeping your employees happy. 4. Please drop the condescending tone - this goes to all the "Director coaches" we have at our organization. This wasn't that bad a sinking ship that we needed a complete change in everything. Right or wrong we were still functioning. Now everything is a complete mess.
