Pros

Advanced technology and exciting projects Lots of room for personal growth Most passionate and creative vision from any company in AR. Rony is a visionary and has been good at raising money (so far) Opportunities to work with people from many disciplines (hardware, embedded systems, vision, graphics, robotics, game programmers, artists, ...)

Cons

Talented people leaving to join better-paying companies Stock options very hard to sell, don't really contribute to compensation Future success of company is unclear with megacorps moving into space Too much drama in media Too much politics in company

Pros

Tech is state of the art and leader in AR space Smart people Ethnically diverse as a whole company Open to trying new processes Great funding Futuristic

Cons

Hiring took forever to build teams, 1-4 months to get offers approved Laid off folks during the holidays No transparency with leadership No work life balance for realistic goals Politics with managers creating bottlenecks to make them seem important

No longer a startup - or a company that wants to make a profit

Pros

Pay and Benefits are good.

Cons

- Long hours and no work life balance (for groups who actually work instead of playing cards and waiting in line for orange juice and free food) - Lack of understanding by management of how to release product to consumer market, continual changes, and lack of focus and system level thinking - Poor corporate culture. Focus has turned from driven startup to one where people think they have guaranteed employment for life, CEO who references Star Wars more than he does business objectives, and lack of prioritization and understanding of what Magic Leap wants to achieve with this product - Excessive funding from investors has made the management think it is never going to dry up and they have lost focus on why the investors gave them money in the first place
