Pros

There are good people here, and if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to work with (or for them.

Cons

I have been with this company for a decade now and have seen the company passed around numerous owners, churned through two CEOs, and undergone several restructurings and layoffs. Morale is at an all time low now as the company drives to replace ideas with consultants, processes with half-baked automations, and people with outsourced workers who are paid poorly even by the standards of the region. The company knows this, but rather than doing anything materially meaning about it, they will give you a mental health app subscription and suggest that you to cope. The culture is extremely unhealthy. Collaboration is more often punished than rewarded, and projects are set-up to fail from the onset due to a lack of management buy-in and funding. Many of the areas of the business are outwardly hostile to each other, emboldened by the behavior of their Director or VP. If you require interaction beyond your department, you are unlikely to get much support here as there isn’t much incentive for leadership to act outside of their fief’s narrow interest. Skill and professional development opportunities are nearly non-existent. It just isn’t one of the company’s goal’s to build a body of knowledge. Little effort is put into cross-functional sharing, no investment into R&D, and not much appreciation for internal innovation. The company, however, is glad to hire armies of third-rate consultants to compensate. Also, the benefits are atrocious. The healthcare is too expensive to actually use, with many of the plans having a high premium, deductible, copay, and co-insurance. The company leadership has been asked about this, and their response was concerning, to say the least.

HORRIBLE communication

Pros

Get paid weekly & children can be covered on medical insurance (only) until they reach 30 years of age since the insurance company is based out of FL.

Cons

Company communication is HORRIBLE/non-existent. If you consider employment by them then make sure you ask ALL the questions up-front because info will not be divulged to you. Things like will you be paid vacation time, sick time, holidays, when/if your client's business shuts down will you be paid. What insurance coverage will you have. How long before it becomes effective, etc. Just ask ALL the questions because you will not be told anything otherwise. Ask how long you are permitted to work (length wise) as in is there an end date firmly set (i.e., 2 years, 3 years, 5 years or no end).

Absolutely the worst

Pros

Ironic that it's in the name, but no pros to speak of

Cons

If you value your time and money, RUN. -Zero support -Old clunky T&E system -Different people reviewing expense reports with different standards, which means no matter how you submit your expense reports, something's gonna get rejected, and it's never the same reason why -Inconsistencies in rejecting expenses means your money is being held up and no one cares until you send multiple emails -They absolutely maintain that you book travel at least 14 days ahead, but uses a system that won't let you expense until expense actually incurred. i.e. you book a flight for a couple weeks ahead, good luck getting that approved the day the transaction incurred on your credit card. If you put the date down as the day your credit card got billed the expense, they will reject it because the date of travel doesn't match. Absolutely ridiculous.
