Large amount of overtime pay at 1.5x.

Cons

Expected to work 60 -70+ hour weeks. Forced to work 12 days on 2 days off for months at a time. No clear path to move up in company.

Pros

Most of the people that work there are great people, very hard working, and helpful wherever they can be. People in the field have each other's back. If you are in the field and call another FSE for help, they will not hesitate to help you out. Really good group of guys in the field

Cons

Upper management is a mess. Mr. Lane has done everything in his power to torpedo the company. The effort spent to develop useless technology is far too high. Their marketing strategy is completely backwards. I was there for years, and the company is not what it was when I started. Makino grew too fast, and did not know how to manage the growth in my opinion. This led them to make a lot of decisions that will require long term actions to correct them.
