Pros

Good work life balance, decent benefits, meaningful work sometimes given, that's about it.

Cons

Terrible and outdated company culture that penetrates through all levels of management. There are a few people that truly want you to succeed and are overall a pleasure to be around, but for the most part very conservative and uptight employee and management base. Findlay, OH is also a very racist and conservative town, everyday I walk around I gather many nasty and surprised looks as if they had never seen anyone from a different race. This permeates throughout the corporate environment as there is very little diversity. Would not recommend working here unless you have grown up around the area.

Pros

Bonus program, 401k match, vacation, pension

Cons

In IT, you'd better manage projects or directly schedule time with senior leaders or you won't advance. Raises are small if you don't do the above. Workload keeps increasing per capita because good employees continue to leave. Meanwhile, upper management downplays issues with turnover. IT turnover was at 19% last year, but CDO says it's in line with industry levels. No action on retention because turnover is seen as a non-issue.

Pros

MPC use to be a great place to work int they merged with Andeavor. Great people who were passionate about their jobs and doing the right thing.

Cons

Since the merger, many people have left or been pushed out for speaking up on life safety issues or doing the right thing. Policies are changed when management wants a change, not from a top-down direction but more of " the fix watching the gen house". This causes lots of problems when people are more focused on cutting costs and making bonus while having an attitude of that will never happen. They have recently been routinely putting people on performance reviews to create a false paper trail in order to fire them. Most of these people have previously always received great reviews and the maximum bonus. No longer the great company it was.
