There are better opportunities outside.

Pros

There are different locations to select from (retail).

Cons

Benefits are not competitive. Micro management is prevalent at all levels. Would not recommend to anyone who would like to progress in their career as promotions are very rare.

Pros

Marathon's pay and benefits (outside of vacation days) is stellar. They don't skimp on salary, bonus, or relocation.

Cons

The company culture and methodologies are outdated and staunchly overbearing. If you're the type of person who wants to work your 9-5 in a white-walled office and get extra recognition for staying late because you spent half of your day on Youtube. This company is for you. If you're looking for a company that supports its employees, is innovative, and recognizes good work over hours worked this place is not for you.

Pros

Pay & Benefits - top notch

Cons

Headquartered in Findlay, OH. Difficulty feeling like a person and not a number. I was personally given no guidance or leadership in my role, which ultimately led to my demise at the company. Fired on the spot for lack of hours and progression in my role. Four weeks after I was hired, my supervisor was transferred. Left alone in a cubicle for 2 months before a new supervisor started. Unfortunately she was unqualified (as I look back) to be a supervisor and give guidance or expertise to help start my career. Enjoyed the field work and felt like a human being. Corporate office was a disappointment for a recent college graduate.
