Pros

Great location downtown SF. Amenities are pretty good. Easy job if you're the kind of person to collect a mediocre paycheck and do nothing. Probably pretty good for a new grad to learn the signs of a dysfunctional company to avoid such shops in the future.

Cons

Last 3 years of efforts to get up to date have failed. New platform & product is in shambles. The engineers who built it have long left and there is nobody to pick up the slack. Upper and mid management have no clue about current technologies. Mindset is stuck in the 90s. Very behind times and can't possibly compete with more experienced shops.

Pros

This company is full of politics and lies. Worst managers do nothing but keep telling lies to employees. Everything is so terrible.

Cons

You don't know what to expect from the company because they don't tell you what to do. They fire people casually without reasons. They are facing problems financially and they refuse to admit it since they never ever be open and frank to their employees

Location. I need to write at least twenty words to submit this review. Beyond location snacks in the kitchen? Views are great.

Cons

Upper management is way out of tune with reality. Way too many circle gerk sessions and politics... if that's your cup of tea then Marin is the place for you. However, you will not grow at this company regardless of how well you perform PERIOD There is 0 accountability across teams it's pretty mind boggling they're still operating.
