      Maritz is stuck in the stone ages

      Pros

      Not many really. I worked with some nice people, I think that is the most positive thing I can say.

      Cons

      First I was a contractor which after 6 months was supposed to be offered full time employment this never happened. I was constanstaly told you are just a contractor which gave me zero motivation to do a good job for this company. There are way to many chiefs in this company and they are well beyond progressive and efficient research to stay profitable for much longer.

      Pros

      Good teams pulled several poorly planned projects out of fire at last minute. Automotive clients tend to look other way as many have been working with Maritz for 10+ years.

      Cons

      Unbelievably bad management from VP level and above. Most are rewarded for being there a long time and being in the right click. Sales targets unattainable from day one and set that way so minimal bonus money paid out. IT technology at a minimum 5 years behind...sales calls were constantly "bringing a knife to a gun fight."

      Pros

      The people there are great. The hours are flexible so if you have a family that's a plus.

      Cons

      The technology is very old and there doesn't seem to be much movement to toward newer developments. The pay is alright, but definitely below what you can find at another company. There doesn't really seem to be much room to advance within the company.
