      Pros

      This company has a great work-life balance and very flexible for the needs of the family life. There is great culture with lots of opportunity to participate in philanthropic events.

      Cons

      The most recent external market challenges are impacting business performance. Decentralization of corporate services are leading to reductions in staff.

      Pros

      The people are some of the best you'll find anywhere; flexible hours; a good company for people with families.

      Cons

      Maritz Research ignored the rise of technology based competitors for years. They wanted to keep doing what made them successful in the 90s and failed to evolve. They only value large customer satisfaction tracking programs even though they have some of the smartest marketing scientists in the industry. Real researchers are often underused/appreciated.

      Pros

      Good teams pulled several poorly planned projects out of fire at last minute. Automotive clients tend to look other way as many have been working with Maritz for 10+ years.

      Cons

      Unbelievably bad management from VP level and above. Most are rewarded for being there a long time and being in the right click. Sales targets unattainable from day one and set that way so minimal bonus money paid out. IT technology at a minimum 5 years behind...sales calls were constantly "bringing a knife to a gun fight."
