Pros

My paycheck was about it.

Cons

Marvell needs a new CEO - he AIN'T no Steve Jobs - his so-called technical "genius" has NOT deliver product wins beyond storage. The atmosphere is hostile in almost all functional areas within the company - too much politics, no work life balance, hasty, bad decisions from upper management, no respect for individual employees, no career development or growth prospect, and random firing of employees with bad or no package. It's a MEAN company!! I'd not recommend joining unless you want to ruin your reputation or don't want job security over the long term.

Pros

* Pay is at market rate. * Unlimited vacation but you will not have time to take it. Some times, your manager can deny your vacation request. * If you can work over time for a long time without much vacation, then, this job is for you.

Cons

* A lot of over time, odd hours, and unplanned work. I was burned out in a year. Meeting time from 7:30am PST (with US customers), and ended at 11pm PST (with India team). One employee is doing 3 employees worth of work to save cost. That's why stock is higher but at the cost of employees' time. * A lot of product issues, engineering don't resolve them quickly. Customers were unhappy and put a lot of stress on me. * 95% engineering team is in India so there are mandatory night time meetings with Project Management, Product Management, Customer Issues, and even All-hands are all happening between 8pm PST to 11pm PST. * With unlimited vacation, you don't get to take it since you have a lot of unplanned work/issue. When I left Marvell, I had no PTO balance to cash out. For the 2 years I was here (between 2018-2020), I took less than one week of vacation. * There will be no job/product training; they expect you to train yourself with this complicated HSM product. It took me 9 months to understand 70% of the product.

Pros

At first, I was excited to work for Marvell. But after only being here for 6 months, these are the only pros: -Gym -My colleagues (excluding direct management) -Plenty of parking -Medical benefits

Cons

-Micromanagement is the only kind of management -Out-of-date processes (or lack of processes) -Resistance to new ideas and tools -No focus on growth of the employee (all "promotions" based on who you know) -Upper management seems to be concerned with "hoarding" money instead of spending it on adding more staff, improving benefits, or providing sufficient licenses for tools -Absolutely no work/life balance (management constantly suggests to work weekends and 12-hour days) -No flexible hours (maybe just my particular group) -1 person does the workload of multiple people
