Pros

Supervisors are understanding, no micromanaging, nice location, big cubicle on payroll/ HR side, pot lucks, group lunches, company walks around downtown

Cons

Not enough pay for the work you do and the amount of payrolls you handle, you get a promotion and only get a 5k increase. Penta is not a good payroll system, 401k match could be better. I was told being hired I would have 2 days remote, but that never happened on payroll side. I feel like HR wasn't honest about that.

Casual business attire (jeans), flexible schedules (9/80 schedule), hybrid schedule (home two days), mid-size company (can still feel like small work-family)

Cons

Lack of growth opportunities/promotions, lack of tools/resources, no true bonus structure, annual raises are low and vary, some policies are very outdated, upper management feels like a good ole boys' club, budget approvals are SLOW
