Pros
- THE PEOPLE are so nice (in the good way) and are very collaborative. We have a strong culture around sharing both successes (shouting out all who helped out) and recognizing mistakes are never the sole responsibility of one person. -Access to healthcare and improving health outcomes is absolutely at the center of the conversation. Maven was built to support people grow their families and we continue to put our members first. We've also found product/market fit and are growing quickly so it's very exciting to be here right now. -Kate, our CEO, is undeniably charismatic and does an incredible job representing our business model and brand. As we grow, she has taken the feedback to share ownership of day-to-day decision-making to heart and has slowly gotten more comfortable delegating to/relying on other senior leaders.
Cons
-Scaling communication is always challenging and we are in the thick of it! As we grow, we're always re-working our internal channels/best-practices, which can be difficult to keep track of at times. This likely produces the most day-to-day frustration, but I think we're committed to working through it. -Similarly, our organizational chart is constantly evolving so teams, reporting lines, and roles can shift. This is an exciting part of a growing company (and means new opportunities internally) but wouldn't be a good fit for someone who feels uncomfortable without a lot of consistency and structure.
