Large company with plenty of resources for learning and development. Some groups/divisions have plenty of opportunities for advancement.

Cons

In my division there is no chance of advancement until people leave. In my experience, applying for jobs in other McKesson means either no response from hiring manager or getting an offer only to have the position downgraded to the same level as my current position.

One of the most relaxed work environments I have ever been in.

Cons

Most of the technologies used are outdated and some of them are not even officially supported. After a few years, you will need to brush up a lot to get back into the job market.

Very good benefit overall. 15% discount company stock purchase plan. 5% 100% 401K company match, with optional free fidelity individual stock trading account, better return than index fund. Good wellness program including up to $60 for LifeTime fitness, $40 for spouse. Vitality points for regular exercise, can be used to exchange for Amazon gift card up to $300 annually.

Cons

No bonus for regular employee. Discontinue the stock reward for regular employee after new CFO came in years ago. Technology solution upper management has no idea of how to manage software development, they treated development resources more like head counts.
