Pros

Great people as a whole. The workforce is is made up of hard working individuals who are productive and committed to excellence. I found most to be pleasant and outgoing. The benefits are good as most corporations go and follow most company benefits for vacation etc.. The company is extremely sound financially and other office locations may be a great place to work.

Cons

I would avoid working in the non pharmaceutical or Contracts side of McKesson at the Carrollton, Tx location. There are serious issues with the management structure and extreme bias and partiality is a major fault. Much like a sority house, so there is a constant need to look over your shoulder. The worst I've seen in any work environment. One minute your "in" and the next minute your "out." I call it the "Pharaoh Syndrome," superior management over the slaves or management over the worker bees. You get my point and it's makes for a stressful environment.

Pros

McKesson is a large company with a relatively stable revenue stream in the Distribution Services business. The Technology side of McKesson can be a lot more chaotic, however the breadth offerings are unmatched in the industry. If they ever figure out how to go to market as a coherent offering, it could be unstoppable, unfortunately today the technology business is very fractured and often competes with itself.

Cons

McKesson is an incredible large and slow moving bureaucracy. It's essentially a holding company with no plans to integrate different business units. Almost all growth comes from acquisitions, and cost cutting usually involves layoffs, selling unprofitable divisions, or combining groups (and layoffs). Career advancement is very limited.
