      Great "BIG" company that no one's heard of...

      Pros

      Huge company; many places to move to within the corporate structure. Lots of resources and programs to help develop yourself professionally.

      Cons

      Lots of red tape. Upper management sometimes seems very detached. Typical corporate politics come into play when dealing with moving up the ladder.

      Pros

      The salary is competitive, benefits are good, not micro managed (not really managed at all). Past years have been good.

      Cons

      This place used to be great, but in the last 3 years it has gone downhill fast. Management is clueless about what the employees do. They think everyone is interchangeable (technical and non-technical) and everyone can learn everyone else's job in a couple of hours. No concept of the complexity of the work or the value of experience. They make it clear that they don't want input from the employees. Management style - just do it and shut up. Do not care about quality of the products only about getting the money from the clients. EVERYTHING revolves around getting money. The products, clients and employees are very low on the priority list. Upper management are dictators and middle management are doormats. No appreciation/recognition for knocking yourself out for years. Can't wait to get out.
