Pros

- Direct managers & directors were helpful and genuinely good people. - Lots of good people within the company. - New headquarters in Indianapolis. - Indianapolis culture is great prior to moving to your market. - Company takes good care of senior leadership. - Fun atmosphere if you enjoy social events with coworkers.

Cons

- Employee turnover is high for a reason. I advise taking some notes. - 6 months of "training" in Indiana is unnecessary and should be shortened. - Base salary amount is comical and unlivable. It is the elephant in the room and nobody speaks on it. - Job postings lie about salary amounts to entice recent grads. - The company's "unmatched culture" felt cultish and forced. - Work from home flexibility was taken away due to lower company profits as Covid-19 projects fell off. Ultimately unnecessary and incentivizes employees to look elsewhere for numerous other hybrid sales roles with higher pay. - Company events bleed into employee personal time with happy hours and gatherings taking place outside of the 9-5pm corporate time frame. These events are "optional" but you are questioned and frowned upon if you don't show up. There is an obvious lack of distinction between work life and personal life here. - Office was plagued with high school level drama and gossip with an overall immature atmosphere. - Success is primarily based on what accounts you obtain. - Micromanaging is a common practice here. - Lots of folks complaining about the company one second then preaching about it on LinkedIn the next. - Lots of corporate Kool-Aid being sipped on.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, though we are disappointed to hear that it was an unpleasant one. Culture is very important to us at Medasource, which is why we strive to create a welcoming environment where all our employees feel empowered to do their best. One such example of this is our employee-led connection groups, joined together based on common backgrounds, identities, or interests to provide a safe space for conversation and development. We recognize that the culture we seek to cultivate may not be a fit for all employees. We also appreciate your honesty regarding the earnings potential of our employees. Is every employee who steps through our doors wildly successful? Unfortunately, no. However, we are proud of the fact that our base salary plus commission structure has allowed a significant number of our employees to create a strong financial footing for themselves (and their families) so early in their careers. If you have any additional feedback or suggested improvements, please email us at success@eightelevengroup.com as we are always trying to better ourselves and the experiences we offer.

Pros

- company culture. very young office with a lot of energy and fun activities inside and outside of the office. - if you love to drink, this is the place for you! - if you get lucky, you can make a lot of money - chance at having an extended 6 months of college with the training program - very hard to get fired. no quotas or crazy hard KPIs

Cons

- all new hires are 23-25 years old and right out of college - extremely low base (almost not liveable) - takes 18 months to truly see any commission - majority of the job comes down to luck. staffing is all about when a company needs people. if they’re fully staffed, you could do everything right, set meetings and say all the right things and still see no success - only get 3 accounts. Call on same 150 people every week. No change even after months of no success - spray and pray method for sure!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed by the starting salary for the Account Executive role. We want to provide our employees with a commission-supported scale with no caps or limits, allowing a fair starting salary. All leadership positions are hired from within which means that our leadership has personal experience in the positions that they oversee. Usually, this opens the door for thoughtful leadership and mentoring, but the scenario you have described does NOT align with the culture we want to create. Would you please email us at success@eightelevengroup.com so that we can learn more about this situation?

Pros

Had high hopes and enjoyed the work

Cons

hired on with this company for only a month as a PC. was promised a team of 4 for 11 schools. In the end, it was just me and one other person processing for these schools. I was promised for 2 weeks that I would get more people on my team and that never happened. Instead what ended up happening was a phone call I received a recruiter telling me that I was demoted for not being “organized”, he knew, as well as others that I had a very very small team of 2. He then demoted me to a “tester” and gave me a time frame to decide. I was shocked and full of anxiety. I decided to stay, but I was incredibly anxious of where I would end up. When I showed up to my first school I found out that Recruiter had hired his sister to take my position and she had a whole new team and I was out. I know now that I was set up to fail and Medasource set me up to fail. There was no one for me to speak to, I was denied the number to the “higher ups” as well as “HR”. A recruiter called me and told me that he had heard through the grapevine that I was unhappy, which made the company look bad, and then fired me. Passive racism, nepotism, civil rights violations all exist in this company. Hiring POC won’t ever make that go away. EEO doesn’t exist. Everyone, especially POC are expandable. It is absolutely heartbreaking and disgusting. I have never worked for such a disorganized and dishonest company.
