Pros

Flexible budget for client expenses

Cons

All of management expectations for the sales reps are unrealistic, especially when considering the below average and hardly livable salary they refuse to increase to industry standard. The profits of the company largely sit in the pockets of the top layer of “executive” management, not with the employees who made the sales, which hasn’t ever changed. Management is very out of touch with the reality of day to day sales challenges and is incredibly unsupportive. Reps are held to weekly metrics regardless of actual sales performance/opportunities in pipeline. Leadership is incredibly amateur and underqualified for their roles, titles, and managing responsibilities, offering conditional support only to the priority of top-producing and senior reps, making themselves unavailable for the other several (always) new, inexperienced, drowning reps who they hired. The turnover is truly unheard of and absurd. The Houston office alone has lost more than half of its employees due to toxic culture and lack of support from leadership. The company has an extreme lack of accountability and strong loyalty to tenured management, creating insane amounts of turnover at the “bottom”. Several years of employees’ feedback of feeling constantly belittled, disrespected, overworked, and unsupported is written off by management as entitlement and laziness. The total dysfunction of the company in entirety keeps a revolving door of new hires who last an average of less than 1 year, all the while retaining the same people at the top who neglect to acknowledge the areas of profound weakness that have accumulated over the years causing severe dysfunction. Sales leadership pushes the sales team to produce more by taking away all employee flexibility, including WFH, implementing performance improvement plans with short timelines, and increasing already unattainable metrics, regardless of individual employee performance. Employees are entirely undervalued and are seen as numbers only. The insane turnover has created some extreme challenges to the profitability and financials of the company. Medasource has become a shady, immature, demeaning, and completely unprofessional company with a toxic work culture and terrible leadership.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and honest feedback! Although, we are disappointed to hear that it was a negative one. Culture is everything here at Medasource which is why we strive to create a welcoming environment where all our employees feel empowered to be the best. We say “strive” because as you have mentioned, our work is far from finished. Cultural changes do take time, and we believe we are taking the right steps. This includes the creation of our employee-led connection groups, joined together based on common backgrounds, identities, or interests to provide a safe space for conversation and development. We have also expanded our benefits to include mental wellness coverage, additional PTO, and parental leave for all employees, as well as tuition assistance for those who qualify. These are just some of our latest enhancements to our internal culture! As we continue to grow, so will the type of support and assistance we provide to our employees, consultants, and clients. Thank you again for your feedback, as it is reviews like this that help us better align our plans for the future with the needs of our internal employees!

Pros

- Highly Social Atmosphere (Internal Parties, Social Gatherings, Networking Events) - Extensive Training at Headquarters - Positive Encouragement; Open Communication with Leadership - Certified Commission and Bonus potential, not skimpy with payouts. Hunter environment

Cons

- This is a staffing company. Just remember that. - Extremely Low Starting Pay (Average $40k in first year and potentially second year as well) - Difficult Selling Approach Depending on Vertical (some reps are still not making commissions/getting placements after 1-2 years of selling) - Monotonous, Repetitive Sales Approach, Completely Cold Calling-centric

Pros

Everyone in the office is early in their careers. It is a fun group and there's a fun social/drinking culture in the office.

Cons

Base pay is way below industry standard and things have been slow for the past year as a business. A lot of people made a lot of money during covid but those days seem to be long gone. There's also a lot of favoritism from leadership in company and leadership feels immature. Training and support also needs a lot of work.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. All leadership positions are hired from within which means that our leadership has personal experience in the positions that they oversee. Usually, this opens the door for thoughtful leadership and mentoring, but the scenario you have described does NOT align with the culture we want to create. We are deeply disappointed to hear that you had such a negative experience at Medasource. Would you be willing to contact us at success@eightelevengroup.com so that we can learn more, as we are always striving to better ourselves?
