      Not Worth The Effort

      Pros

      Beer cart Fridays. outings every now and then. Younger workforce

      Cons

      Not enough money even though they say that it is un capped commissions. Training is terrible and had training for a week and they threw me out on the floor. Turnover ratio is extremely high. Always promoting how much they are growing even though one office has ten people and one office has fifteen people. CEO is cocky beyond belief. He does not want to get personal with anyone because he knows they will not be there long.

      Nothing...honestly, I can not think of a single thing that makes Medicus stand out from any other company.

      Cons

      Everything. From micro management to "unlimited PTO" that you cant use because it isnt up to you when you can use it. You literally sit around and dial a phone for 9 hours a day and when no one answers the phone its somehow your fault and you arent trying hard enough. After you finish a list, you go back through and call that same list again...just to be told no....again. Its 99.9% failure and when you do catch that ever elusive victory, management will try to squeeze every once of enjoyment out of it for you by telling you the deal wasnt good enough or the doctor is a bum and wont last. Thats if the doctor isnt pushed away from our, far below market, rates. All in all...im looking for work somewhere else as we speak.

      Pros

      If you are the lucky 5% of hires that don’t mind working 10+ hours making 150 dials, getting yelled at by doctors and lying to get past gate keepers, and have a “cool kids” mentality as a grown adult, you can make 100k+.

      Cons

      High school social atmosphere. If you don’t “fit in” they set you up for failure. It’s a grind and most people don’t last long enough to make it to the pay day which can take months to get to. Most producers have been there less than 2 years. They act as though they are a tech company in Silicon Valley but the perks are mediocre (yay one happy hour every two months you can have a One beer!)

      It was truly disheartening to read the description of your experience and impression of Medicus. It is in such contrast to the organization I know and the feedback we typically received based on the culture we have worked so hard to create. While sales/recruiting is certainly not without its challenges, we pride ourselves in having the right support structure in place to help new employees get up to speed in their roles and achieve success. From the management team, to learning and development, to the human resources team, we value and know the importance of taking care of our employees.
