Horrible work/life balance, being forced into the office twice a week with long commutes both ways. Very little exceptions to senior employees. They make you log your time you spent on work each day in the most obnoxious way, using increments of sometimes 10 minutes to track what you did. It’s like micromanagement on an even more stringent scale. Check in meetings were also daily as well, so doubly micromanaging! The company is using such old technology that your skills become stagnant and you can’t grow/adapt with new advancements. This makes it very difficult to find another job down the line. Executives you actively work with (the only ones actually making any sort of real money) don’t even know your name or any contributions you make to the company. Benefits used to make it worth having a lower salary-range. They have since been stripped so far down that I’m not sure you can even call them that any longer. The current CEO is so out of touch it isn’t even funny. She’ll tell everyone how amazing Meditech is doing and how much revenue they’re pulling in, while you’re underpaid by about $20-30k on average in your position.

Bad Pay. All of the motivated employees have left. Company will not make necessary investments for long term success. They are stuck at a dead end with their proprietary technology stack and will not make structural changes to resolve it. Private owners are only concerned with extracting cash over the short term. Company is heading for a very long slow death spiral in such a slow, inertial market as hospital software.
