Pros
Medline used to be a family owned company that you felt a part of something big. Employees enjoyed working there and felt appreciated and valued. Everyone knew each other and knew their jobs. Everyone was friendly and helpful and if they couldn’t answer a question they would point you in the right direction. Most employees stayed for years.
Cons
Since the sale of the company, the work atmosphere has changed drastically. Everyone feels threatened and is scared they will lose their job at any moment. The new people are not trained properly. Management is only concerned about the bottom line and there is no loyalty to their employees or their customers. People are quitting or being fired left and right and what remains is lacking. There is no longer a sense of pride in the company. The employees are tired from working long hours to make up for the loss of head count and upper management has no intention of helping fix the problem. Salaried employees are working 15+ hours a day and afraid every day of getting fired.
