After 2 years of employment.. Even Amazon is better than this

Cons
After more than 2 years of employment, this is all the truth from personal experience at this job. Medical is basic and doesn't cover much. 30 minute lunches, Medline branded attire is required, yet they only provide a couple shirts. More overtime than you can handle. I have not seen a single Monday without 2-5 hours of "mandatory overtime" and they do not let you know until about the overtime until 2-3 hours before your shift is supposed to end. They have proof over the last several years of overtime every week on certain days, yet they "cannot seem to hire enough people to fix it" or they tell us in group meetings that "there's too many call outs for us to handle the work load". A business needs to be more prepared, plain and simple. They are paying more money in overtime than they would be with extra staff members, anyone who works here can put together that math. They do drawings every year for people with perfect attendance to win $1000( awesome right?.. just wait). This last year the award was not given to the winner because shortly after announcing the winningers, that winner got a new job elsewhere and they weren't going to be there for when the check was going to be onsite when deposited. If you room with another employee, they won't let you be promoted. Romantic relationships are frowned upon by management. The managers have been caught multiple times yelling at employees. Equipment is unsafe and broken. lifts and walkies are spraying leaks every other day, equipment shakes when driving, and management has told us directly after reporting damaged wheels, "wheels are too expensive to replace", so we have to work with chunks falling off them. I asked for a few unpaid days off a month in advance to help my family move and they declined because "Medline does not give out unpaid days off". You are 'required' to stay at home if you are sick and cannot come back to work for at least 72 hours without symptoms, but you must use your paid time off or "you will get points taken from you" which leads to termination. The warehouse is covered in dust, on shelves, slots, and on product. This place is absolutely filthy. Employees are picking gauze rolls and other raw medical materials by bare hand. Imagine going to the doctor and getting an infection from some Medline gauze that was handled by some 46 year old guy doesn't wash his hands after using the restroom. Yeah.. welcome to Medline. Employees aggressively mishandle packages. They do not stack, but they throw boxes into a pile in the semi trailers if the boxes are smaller and stack larger ones. The restrooms were missing stalls half the year and flooded daily. Also about 100 people on staff during the day and only 3 small restrooms that are several minutes away from working stations. The company has wasted more money having employees stand and do nothing while they watch a loading screen "waiting for data" on their RF's, than it would cost them to upgrade their network systems or hire a full time technician dedicated to network systems for a month to fix the connectivity issues. One of the few head managers brags about being with the company for over 11 years, but has no other management experience or perspective outside of the company. The same manager has told an entry level employee that they are no longer aloud to speak with other employees while on the clock and this caused him to start looking for another job out of fear of his manager. A promotion isn't worth enough money for the extra work. Trainers, leads, and supervisors only make a couple dollar more than the entry level employees and the leads/sups are required to work unpaid overtime because of a salaried pay. This feels like an insult. This place has a toxic, drama filled environment with managers who try to use fear for their gain.
