Pros

It was flexibility for some time and then they use it against you. Bipolar company!

Cons

If you like being demeaned, humiliated, insulted, violated, and harassed, then this the company for you. Serious illegal activities continue on here. Serious outdated computer systems. Employee benefits are sub par. Women are paid less than male employees.

We are very sorry to hear you feel negatively about the organization. In this time of COVID-19, Medpace, like a lot of businesses, has had to make some very difficult decisions. We are navigating as best as we can and assure you we are taking this very seriously. Although we had maintained our full workforce with full pay for the initial weeks of Ohio’s lockdown order, despite the fact that many of our positions cannot be performed if our campus is not open, unfortunately this is not a sustainable long-term option. It was a very difficult decision to release some of our on-campus staff, and we hope that the severance packages offered to them will help in part to sustain during a difficult economic time for everyone. We certainly understand the frustration and anxiety everyone feels in this difficult time and we are confident that by working together we will get through this. We are thankful to be re-opening the office next week, and our excited to continue to work and grow together as an organization. Stay safe!

Pros

A good way to obtain industry experience. Co-workers are generally nice.

Cons

Company morale continues to decline. The decision to reduce the number of WFH days and flexibility has only added to the reduced morale. Company wide updates have been rolled out in a very chaotic and disorganized way. High performing workers continue to get additional work and are told to figure it out, while low performing workers are able to skate by with less work and reduced responsibility with the hopes they can’t ruin what they’re given. Escalations are usually met with a shoulder shrug.

We have made recent changes to our remote work policy in support of our culture of in-office collaboration, while still providing opportunities for associates to work from home when personal flexibility is needed. With regard to concerns surrounding workload, we encourage you to speak with your Line Manager or HR representative to discuss further.

Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy

Pros

Supervisors, line mangers, coworkers are incredible people

Genuinely the worst company I've ever worked for. I've worked in retail, sales, and fast food previously and even they seemed to care more about me as an employee than Medpace ever did. Some of the people there are amazing. The building is pretty even though it's actively gentrifying the area. Could be a good company if the CEO and the company actually treated employees like human beings instead of numbers. No maternity/paternity leave benefits. The company recently announced they were lowering bonus and merit raises because "the rise of the cost of living has fallen". They also essentially had a mass layoff disguised as policy enforcement. There is no reason that highly qualified and well performing employees should be fired without any prior warning due to breaking a superficial policy that's only in place to enable micromanagement. The complete and utter disrespect to employees who have dedicated their professional lives to the benefit of the company is appalling. They focus on entrapping every young unknowing graduate they can trick into a low wage and non-compete agreement which prevents employees from being hired at ANY other CRO across the ENTIRE COUNTRY for a YEAR after their leave whether willingly or not. Their entire structure is designed to prey on people who want to advance their career while making it almost impossible to leave once they realize their self worth and how little Medpace cares about its employees. The CEO will literally have to approve every applicant and minor change in position because he feels the need to micromanage the entire workplace. The insecurity requires everyone to come into the office on "Together Tuesdays" even though their buildings don't have the capacity and most of their employees have no reason to come into the office and waste time and money. The amount of disrespect and disregard towards long term employees is remarkable. Do not expect efforts to be made for you as in individual by the company. You are absolutely a number that can be removed if you don't act exactly how the CEO wants you to, regardless of the fact that you're individual human and professional. It's no wonder they've lost so many people even with their scare retaliation tactics. Unless they change something they're going to continue to be the laughing stock of the research community. When the non-compete ban goes into effect, I'd expect the company to see a massive loss in employees as most would leave the company in an instant without the agreement. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

We are saddened by your thoughts of the organization. We feel that combined with our flexible scheduling, PTO packages, and our updated work-from-home policy, that employees have a generous amount of flexibility in their work schedule to meet their needs. Eligible employees are given a bank of work-from-home time that equates to approximately 8-10 days per month. We do require compliance with all Medpace organizational policies which all employees review and acknowledge on an annual basis. Failure to comply with Medpace policies, for example the Remote Work Policy, may impact eligibility for discretionary bonus and merit increases. In regard to maternity leave benefits, Medpace does offer maternity leave and provides salary continuation coverage through our short term disability policy. Like most companies within the United States our maternity benefits are limited in duration, but we support our associates and their growing families through all phases of life. Our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we encourage all employees to escalate their concerns to their direct supervisor and Human Resources Representative.
