Pros

Medpace is a strong company in excellent financial health. Benefits and wellness promotion for employees are solid. Vacation and sick day policy are ample. The other employees are a young, fun crowd who know how to work hard and still have a good time. The work is intellectually stimulating and can teach you a lot about the other functional areas in this contract research organization (CRO).

Cons

Peak work volume can be extreme. You may be expected to work weekends with only 1-2 days of notice. If you want the weekend days off, you may have to request them. There is training, but it does not cover the things you really need to know. New employees must feel around in the dark for too long before becoming integrated and effective.

Pros

The salary is competitive. There is a gym onsite.

Cons

There seems to be a lot of politics involved in performance reviews, as well as corresponding merit increases and bonuses. It is very difficult to move up. Employees are not generally treated well, and are fearful to make a decision. Management is very controlling, and proud of that.
