Pros

company culture can be great provided you have the leadership that is interested in people and their personal development. For management there are great benefits and bonus potential that is easy to obtain provided you just do your operational duties. Lots of freedom to run the store the way you like provided you meet numbers.

Cons

Tuxedos. This side of the business is cheating employees especially management in obtaining some commission and due to the flux of this business the retail side where your commission is made is neglected. You can only do so much with a team and prom hits forget it. This also affects the tailor shop even if measurements are done correctly there is bound to be mistakes at DC. Lastly, the commissions have diminished and aren't what they used to be. Alongside with running BOGO on everything and doing great price manipulation and not offering enough inventory (even when attempting to properly merchandise your store) your sales will be effected negatively as you have not resources to meet the expectations of the customer. Turning into a typical retail box store and lossing its structure that George founded it upon. Also was very tasteless how they removed George from the Company.

Pros

GREAT flexibility with my school schedule, paid vacation time even as a part timer, decent stock plan and your store can really feel like one big family, its a really great feeling and overall thats what keeps me where I'm at.

Cons

So much family. In one region in the east coast alone I can honestly say 75% of the employees are directly related to the regional manager in some way. Not a very good way of conducting business in my opinion. Its also nearly impossible to get a raise unless your regional manager loves you. Otherwise you have to just go directly over his or her head to the zone VP. They do not reward hard work at all, and they really do not pay their employees anything near what they should. Some Store Managers make $40,000 a year and some make $100,000+ per year. Part time CSA's can make anywhere between $7.25/hr - $11/ hr. If you sell over $500,000 a year they offer you 10% commission on everything with $0.01/week base pay. Otherwise salespeople make $5/hour + 4% commission if the sale is under $600 and 6% commission if the sale is over $600. All salespeople make 10% commission on shoes and custom garments. Operation Managers or Formalwear Managers make anywhere between $9/hr - $25/hr. Overall the pay gap is massive, especially with those who are hourly.

Pros

Great environment and work lifestyle. Very easy job, not strenuous if you have a good staff. Mostly great people to work with.

Cons

Because of corporate greed company is in jeapordy. Unqualified and uneducated upper level management. Changing of the core values of the company may prove detrimental.
