Pros

Menorah Park is one of the top rated nursing homes in the country. Pay starts off at $11.80 before you are state tested. 3 week STNA classes are free, and you are usually offered a job afterwards.

Cons

As it pertains to management: Sub-acute residents are treated like royalty, while long-term care residents and employees are treated like peasants. The nursing supervisors (mainly one supervisor on 2nd shift....with a long white coat) can be completely egotistical, uncaring, and not capable of empathy. The turnover rate at Menorah Park is extremely high, because leadership doesn't know how to treat the employees. Well over half of the STNA's employed at Menorah Park are currently looking for new jobs. Menorah Park has a new STNA class EVERY month because people are constantly being fired or quitting.

Pros

Great health benefits, flexibility, PTO, holiday pay, fun atmosphere if you work with the write people

Cons

Not a lot of room for advancement, good for nurses and medical professionals but not a place where marketing and PR professionals can grow

Pros

This company shows concern for both its clients and employees, and I've found it to be supportive of me throughout my career. Working at a non-profit company is fulfilling and satisifying.

Cons

The work can be challenging, but it's rewarding. The only "con" comes from its non-profit status which may limit salaries.
