Pros

Co workers (some of them), doctors are great if you treat them correctly, and the patients are great.

Cons

There's a lot of favoritism, they will make you feel like crap until you no longer want to work their, and some peoples attitudes suck because they get away with literally EVERYTHING. They say they are there to serve the poor and under served yet they are almost FORCING people to pay copays........they're contradicting themselves everywhere they go.

Pros

Union for nursing and some ancillary staff that is the the closest thing to protecting benefits. Coworkers are great!

Cons

They fire entire groups of employees without clear evidence it will be effective. It doesn't matter people lose their jobs, if it doesn't work they'll just hire new people. There's a complete lack of caring for employees. They play management against employees, there is no team mentality. They hire unqualified managers who have no leadership background. Ineffective and they believe micromanagement, negativity, and fear of job loss is effective motivation. Morale could not be much lower, but we're almost at the bottom.

Pros

Mercy has some amazing people who work there but they are not in management. They have good benefits like flex time. Also, they have a good health plan (although it is restrictive) and added benefits like a matching 403B, as well as a flexible spending plan. I really like their mission statement I just wish they practiced it!

Cons

They want to perpetuate a youth culture as they advance those who are young to management. The problem is though these individuals may have a degree, they do not possess management skills nor are they competent in handling subordinates. Also, the human resources department is an enigma. They are difficult to contact and even when finally do they are less than helpful.
