Pros

Occasionally you could take a conference call from the car or at home if it was in the late afternoon/early evening

Cons

Overworked and underpaid Salary with a suggestion of 40 hours per week... the least amount of hours I worked in a 7/8 month time frame was 46 hours The staff that reported to me were inconsiderate and selfish — I’d say on average about 5 call offs a week! If no one would step up to cover those shifts the supervisor would of course (that was a disaster. After working day shift it was hard to work third shift when someone called off and no coverage was found)

Competence is actually punished

Pros

You will get paid, so there is that?

Cons

Incompetent management in several of the ancillary departments, leads to high employee turnover. Management often decides to elevate incompetent individuals to leadership positions, while competent long time employees are treated as nothing. Poor interdepartmental communication. Poor work habits are rewarded, and almost never punished. Come in for your shift routinely 30 minutes late? No problem! Talk so loud people outside the department can hear you loud and clear? No problem! Want to talk to your family for 25 minutes on the phone first thing upon walking in the door? Well my friend... you're going to fit in just fine here.
