Pros

There were some great people here - dedicated to the organization, Made some really good friends here. I am not a "Jesus freak, so to speak, but I did love the fact that God could exist here - in the fact that prayer took place before meetings, you could have religious based items at your desk.

Cons

When the nuns were pushed back, the organization changed dramatically. The caring and concern of the co-workers was no longer evident, but they still preached the same sermon they did when the nuns were more visible. So, in essence, they should have practiced what they preached. You were promoted - but you had to accept it whether or not you were comfortable with the position or not. There are a number of "fake" leaders there - not to be trusted by their words.

Thanks for leaving this review, but we think we may be talking about different health care systems. Our Mercy Health is located in the West Michigan region, and it appears you are reviewing a Mercy Health location in Missouri.

Pros

Mercy matches some 401k contributions and makes additional 401k contibutions based on tenure, which is very nice. They have clear job descriptions and advancement paths. They have a great work life balance: flex hours and work from home. The custom software department is an Agile shop, so it respects the time of the developer. The coworkers are very empowered to change things for the better.

Cons

PTO, holiday, and sick leave are all in the same bucket. The medical benefits weren't up to par with my last job and have gradually been decreasing in beneftit. There is however a lack of vision from management; coworkers seem to be the major driving force of bettering the custom software department.

Pros

less work , people sit idle, no IT direction. Good for anyone just needing a paycheck and not concerned about having a challenging environment and growth. People just sit in their cubes and yawwwn.lol

Cons

no challenges, no growth. if you like a slow work ; no growth kind of profile, it is for you. People get fired anytime for no reason, specially the faithful ones celebrating their 10+ years of anniversary.Lots of favoritism. Internal job transfer is a joke- you have to tell your current boss before applying for another internal position so that he can hate you for life and make sure you do not grow anymore.
