Avoid at all costs

Pros

Pay is decent here. It's the only positive I can think of. Sorry to say I cannot think of anything else positive.

Cons

Horrible company. Benefits are atrocious. But the worst is management. They are too concerned with patting themselves on the back to care about what the employees actually think. IF you desire to only have a job that you hate doing and don't want to advance in your clinical knowledge or advance in your career, then MercyHealth system is for you. Otherwise, please avoid at all costs. I will emphasize again- management only cares for themselves and not the employees whatsoever. We are nothing but trash to them. Don't waste your knowledge and talent working for this company. They do not care for you or patients.

Pros

Turkey for Thanksgiving Half of an old Subway sub on occasion

Cons

The building is not nice unless you are in the brand new built one. My supervisor is completely over her head and untrained for her position. The other employees are very rude and hate being at work. The HR team is uncaring and unsupportive. Analysts who don't want to do their job.

Pros

There are a lot of bathrooms to use throughout the day, I have watched a lot of great YT videos

Cons

MANAGEMENT. The leadership in this company is the worst I have ever seen. They will preach and preach how great THEY are doing soo much they believe it will make you believe it. The morale has been soo low for the last 7-8 years that I don't think it can get any lower. It is just a miserable feeling knowing every morning that I have to drag myself into this place again. They do not value seniority, hard work, certifications, project management, or people skills. If you are friends with the right people you are a made man or woman, if not then you better like what you are currently doing because you will be stuck there forever. On top of the miserable leadership they do not put money in the right places, you have to beg for new this or that which would make life easier for the hospital as a whole and in MAYBE 6 months you'll get an approval, meanwhile they'll pay supervisors bigger $ just to be supervisors. HR is another drawback to this company, they are the definition of for the company and not for the worker, I won't go into specifics here but they are not approachable and do not want to hear from you. Look elsewhere for an IT job, if you are already there, look elsewhere anyways
