Pros

Love the OR team members. Great folks.

Cons

Where do I start? Administration is pretty bad. Non communicative, very slow to respond to any nursing concerns, but expect very fast response from you if they have questions. Hospital is expanding and building an ICU. Staff has expressed significant concerns relating to pt safety. All have been ignored. CNO is simply overwhelmed bc they are constantly getting non CNO responsibilities dumped on them by CEO. Vast majority of MDs are so unhappy with the current Admin, they collectively contacted Surgery Partners Corporate in Tenn months ago and have had zero feedback. Corporate doesn’t care; it’s all numbers and money to them. Washers break down constantly (20+ yrs old) water from ceilings leaking into department. Again, it’s all bandaid solutions. Only thing admin wants is NO AGENCY. Doesn’t matter if you get lunch. Doesn’t matter if you’re relieved on time. Doesn’t matter if you’re running 3-4 rooms after 7pm and you’re not staffed for it. They don’t care. If you voice your concerns; you’re punished for being negative.

Pros

Patients through the ED are minimal. Self scheduling. Great co-workers.

Cons

Administration is horrible. They don’t ask for any feedback from staff before implementing new procedures and processes. They want to be a big hospital but don’t have knowledgeable staff other than ED, pre-op/ PACU, OR to do this. Trying to get an ICU up and running but don’t have the patients that fit other than heavy med/surgical patients. It’s not good.

Pros

The culture and staff that has been put together over the past couple of years has created a positive work experience.

Cons

choices made by leadership at the management/supervisor have caused some great staff to leave. You expect hospitals in general to not have loyalty to you, but I believe management should be able to recognize the hard work of valuable employees
