Metova reviews

The culture has been shattered. Metova used to be an excellent place to work with a great culture of forward thinking developers. Now, with all of the recent layoffs and retention issues, it seems like there is more management than there are non-management employees. This is even considering all of the off-shore developers that are being used to maintain existing projects. Since January, the new leadership has driven the company into the ground. I will be shocked if it exists in any profitable form by the middle of 2019.

- Some lead developers are highly critical and rarely ever constructive when reviewing code or helping other employees, going as far as openly mocking other developers if they violate any of their unpublished standards. - Communication and information sharing is very poor, especially among different teams. - You can (and will) be bounced from one project to the next at a moment's notice. This can make it difficult to get a handle on a more complicated project, and sometimes results in disgruntled clients. - Training/orientation is virtually non-existent for new employees - myself included. Unless you are an intern, you are essentially just 'thrown into the fire', so to speak, with minimal explanation or expectations and expected to succeed.
