Pros

Stable, benefits are good, almost impossible to get fired, best retirement plan in south Florida, union workplace, easygoing days, some people are good. You can move jobs around the county fairly easy.

Cons

Nobody gives a crap about anything or anyone. Culture is like a drama soap opera. People will talk crap about you behind your back. Pay is way too low for Miami cost of living. You need to constantly cover your back. Management is HORRIFIC, they have no clue what they are doing. Nepotism & favoritism is the way of life here. My advice to you is, if your an educated person with a degree or certification please stay away, challenge yourself elsewhere in a private sector company because getting a job here will make you dumb, it's contagious here.

Pros

I loved working for MDC for over 10 years. They gave the best training and it was like working for family. The hours were consistent and good and the work was fulfilling.

Cons

They pay doesn't change. You will receive promotions and reassignments, but be paid the same.
