The employee discount is only 20%, which is less than the regular 40% coupon. As with any 2nd job, extended hours during the holiday season and standing on your feet all night make it difficult when working a full-time job during the days. Also there wasn't much sense of community within the store. I did not know most of the employees which was a bit awkward.

A person wouldn't know what they were working one week to the next. One week i would have 35 hours a few weeks later 12. Lack of sympathy and understanding for illness or injury by management. Some of the employees had a terrible work ethic. They would do poor sloppy work and it would be someone elses job to clean it up, instead of making them fix it and teach some resposiblity. The uniforms were not my favorite, we had little pay and then were supposed to purchase these uniforms with no help from the company, that was when I took my leave from Michaels.
