Pros

Great environment. Everyone wants to see you succeed. Sales roles can be very well-paying. One of the best retail workplaces.

Cons

Not extremely flexible with full-time student schedules. Of course, this is a full-time retail position, so this is to be expected. If you are younger and/or in school, be prepared to commit your weekends to this job, especially in the Service department.

Thank you for your feedback. We have recently refocused our efforts in our service to enable customers to speak with you who are most knowledgeable in the repair of their technology and equipment. Your manager is there for when you have questions and your Regional HR Manager, Leslie Whitley, is always available if you ever need to follow up with HR. Thank you! Brian Sr HR, Home Office

Pros

The coworkers and customers are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Cons

The management doesn't care about their employees at all. They're all expendable cogs in the machine and if one quits they'll just poor some other poor soul off the street who thinks they have a chance of getting promoted to a different department, when they never will. Their whole model of commission is see who can endure the worst life possible until they get promoted and then what? You're just stuck working at a computer store for the rest of your life or back at square one because no one considers Systems, BYO, Apple or Consumer Electronics Sales as real experience anywhere. Opening and closing only pays you 4 dollars an hour since it's commission based, so if you have to open or close a lot of shifts your pay is going to be lower than the people who are favoritized by management and only get middle of the day shifts. Freight that comes in to be pushed to the floor is never taken care of because they're too cheap to hire stockers, so Sales Associates are forced to do it (no one does and then it gets left for the 4 dollars an hour closing Sales Associates).
