Exec management out of touch with market and competitive realities. Clueless about how to manage sales or product/ technology pipeline. Analytics business is struggling to compete with the likes of Tableau or Qlik. And Usher is a solution looking for a problem. It has nowhere the capabilities required to compete in the enterprise logical or physical security space. On top of this, massive ego clashes at the exec level has created silos and resulted in irrational hiring and then, layoffs.

The biggest con is the management - it seems like they can't figure out what they are doing. As soon as I started the position, I felt like they had over hired/hired me for no reason - I should've listened to that feeling. I was hired and laid off in under 3 months, after I left my prior position I had been in for almost 3 years. This seems to be a cycle: hire and fire. There's been at least 4 in the last 20 years. My advice: skip this company. They do not reward loyalty or eagerness. Systematic hiring and firing cycles should convince anyone that their job is not secure. If you are looking for something that you could grow in and succeed for the long haul - look elsewhere.
