Amazing experience
Pros
This was a career-changing experience. Not only did the company help steer me away from only engineering but it helped me develop all the skills I needed to continue my career in the BIM/VDC world. They give you all the tools, software, experience, and let you run with it... and with that, it's not for everyone. Clients come first, so it's important to understand this isn't a one stop shop engineering firm whatsoever; this leads many who come to Microdesk to fail or give up. This is NOT that experience. I became a consultant here, and it shows just what that does for someone. Companies and people reach out constantly to try and bring you on. Be loyal, work hard, and Microdesk rewards you in every which way. Fantastic colleagues, great leadership, exciting projects, great pay and tons of flexibility. The company thrives on its consultants and you will do well if you're a people person. I am simply leaving because my time has come, but I will come back in a heartbeat in the future.
Cons
Career progression may seem a little cloudy, but this is individual and is up to you and leadership (as with any organization).
