Pros

The work is interesting and constantly changing, the management knows how to challenge you to succeed. Time off is average, but overtime worked can accrue as paid time off (at time and a half! even for salaried people). Lunch is paid for by the company. There's plenty of materials to make sandwiches and cook basic meals with in the lunchroom. Leadership is open and honest with the employees, the pay is a bit underwhelming at entry level positions, but the company provides you with massive room to grow and solid payscale advancement.

Cons

This job is stressful. You will work some overtime, you will stay late, and it is very demanding. I don't personally consider this a large con, but if you can't handle being under the gun you probably don't want to work here.

Pros

Fantastic culture and very smart, capable people in a growing company. They really care about servicing their customers well and keeping things functioning. They see themselves as one big team.

Cons

Although they see themselves as one big team, it can be very difficult getting help with a problem when you're having issues. Documentation is poor, and co-workers are so swamped that they can't take the time to help their teammates.

Pros

Diverse environment and great coworkers. I love Miles' approach to investing in people from all different backgrounds. If you're willing to show you want to learn, they will embrace that. That includes paying for certificates. The culture is flexible (to a degree) and the environment between your coworkers feels casual. People talk to eachother like people and not in corporate speak.

Cons

There is essentially no training for any department. The culture is “sink or swim,” and while some independence is expected, the volume of information and the expectation to handle it alone is overwhelming. People encourage you to ask for help, but most team members are already drowning in their own workloads and simply don’t have the time. Even highly skilled technicians would struggle. Workload has grown far faster than pay as the company expands rapidly, leaving many departments feeling crushed. The gap between management and the employees driving the company’s growth seems to be widening. That’s especially discouraging because many of the VPs are genuinely good people.
