Good place to learn

Pros

Some of the positives are being exposed to many different technologies. You will learn new things all the time. Although it can feel like drinking from a fire hose. Rotating oncall is only 2-3 times a year for a week at a time. Days fly by because there are always calls coming in. Bonuses for passing certifications and reimbursement for the exam fee if you pass. Bonuses for positive feedback from customers. PTO or pay accrued for after hour work. Unlike other MSPs, billable hours are not a metric. Ticket counts are tracked but there are no quotas. Stocked kitchen with free food.

Cons

Lots of after hours work. No training. You have to learn by breaking a customers environment or finding out who has experience with your issue. Customers can be very demanding. Lots of time is spent supporting XP and server 2003 environments.

A Rare Balance of Growth, Trust, and Kindness

Pros

I’ve been a full-time team member at Miles IT for a little while now, and witnessing our growth has been an incredible journey. What strikes me most is that as we’ve grown, we haven’t lost our soul. The leadership truly puts the team member first. The culture is built on kindness and mutual respect, yet we remain fiercely committed to delivering meaningful results for our clients. The perks are genuinely life-changing: - True Remote Flexibility: Not just "work from home," but a culture of trust where you are empowered to manage your own time. - Trust from Management: Micromanagement doesn't exist here; results and ownership do. - Fun Environment: We are encouraged to enjoy the work we do and the people we do it with.

Cons

We have a culture of excellence, which means there is a constant drive to improve and deliver our best. If you aren’t looking to grow or be challenged to meet high standards, you might find the pace demanding. However, for those who want a career and not just a job, it’s incredibly rewarding.

Pros

• It’s fully remote. • If you really need a gig just to hold you over, it’s a paycheck. • A few individual coworkers were cool and try to help each other survive the chaos.

Cons

• Terrible training. You get a few rushed sessions and then you’re expected to figure out a complicated product on your own. • Unprofessional managers. Lots of inconsistency, favoritism, and straight-up micromanagement. • Sexism and racism are absolutely present. I saw it in other reviews, and can confirm it’s real. Leadership ignores it or pretends it doesn’t happen. • Toxic culture. Speaking up makes you the problem. Very “boys’ club” energy. • Bad health insurance. Saw multiple coworkers struggling to pay for basic medical procedures that should’ve been covered. • Not sure how this company has so many good reviews — the reality doesn’t match the hype. • Zero investment in employee development or long-term growth.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective after 3-4 years with Miles IT. We appreciate you acknowledging the fully remote flexibility and the supportive nature of individual coworkers. We are deeply concerned by the serious allegations you and other reviewers have raised regarding sexism, racism, and a toxic, dismissive culture. Let us be clear: These behaviors are unacceptable and fundamentally contradict our core values and the respectful, inclusive environment we are committed to providing. We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination and harassment. We also acknowledge and take seriously your feedback regarding key operational areas: Training, benefits , employee development and management/culture. These are all key growth points and things we continue to work towards improving.
