Pros

learn alot decent pay cool people

Cons

benefits for anyone that is remote are actually laughable, worst I've ever seen. You will be overloaded with work and when you bring it to managers attention they will somehow make you feel like everything is ok even though you are drowning.

Pros

If you come into Miles willing to work you will advance insanely fast and get experienced with a wide array of different systems in different roles. Some are useful and others are miles specific, such as striven. Another plus is Miles is very flexible in some departments regarding shift scheduling and will work with you to find a place where you can work best.

Cons

Miles puts a lot of work into wanting to appear to be the best place to work. To avoid any potential backlash over posting this all I will say is the basic things that have either already been said here or are pretty well known facts throughout the company and that a new hire can expect to run into very quickly. 1. the raises are very bad and the standard braket doesn't cover cost of living at the highest point these days. I've also encountered issues where I was promised a raise for taking a high position only to be given nothing until I took the written out promises to someone high up. I also know of others who were moved teams right before their yearly review and as a result were given the minimum raise as their manager didn't know them that well. After the raise was given they were moved back to their old manager who said their hands were tied for another year. 2. There is no HR. Employee success is basically just pointing at links in the hub and has no real power. All pay issues are handled by the CFO and it's a very intimidating thing where often times you have to bring your manager's manger to get minor things corrected. 3. Every team hates at least 2 other teams and there is a very immature enviorment at play that focuses alot on blaming whoever you can for whatever due to the way that Service Incidents are handled and how any complaint is a service incident. 4. It's all very disorginized and there is very few teams with a consistent SOP and training regiment. 9/10 your training is your orientation week and thats it. I could go on but I feel like these are the best ones I can give that don't go too deep into the woods of the issues at miles. Just understand that for a new hire these will be the issues you will likely experience very quickly or hear about within the first month.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, we believe all feedback is valuable. I’m glad to hear that our company's beliefs in Career Advancement and Family Comes First with schedule flexibility have been a positive experience for you. You are correct that put a lot of effort into not just appearing to be the best place to work, but we do endeavor to be the Best Place to Work and make this a recurring goal every year. Our salary offers are almost always at or above what a candidate has entered as the desired salary or they are at or above what they were making previously. The average yearly salary increase is more than double the average salary increase nationwide. When you build your career with us, you'll experience many raises in salary and continue to have a competitive salary as you advance your skill sets. Our Employee Success Team is here to support our employees and ensure they have access to the resources and help they need. We have a lot of employee resources in HUB, for the sake of transparency and so our employees always have access to the information needed. Our Employee Success Team is here to help, to guide you through any issues, and to be your advocate when needed. I’m sorry to hear that there is friction between some of our teams. We believe we are One Company and if you have any experiences contrary to our philosophy, please report it to your manager or the next higher level of management so it can be resolved. We are frequently evaluating our orientation and training programs. Currently, there is a 2-month program to review SOPs and train for common types of work we do and our tools. IT employees are asked to attend at least one of these trainings per month for refreshers. We continue to try to do better and make our training a thorough and supportive experience as our new employees get acclimated. Glassdoor reviews are anonymous, but if you would like to address any of your concerns directly you can always email us at careers@milesit.com. We encourage feedback and there should never be any fear of backlash for voicing your opinion.
