Pros

You get to wear safety glasses to protect your eyes that may be your only pair for awhile. They get gloves for you in the right size when they feel like ordering them. You get to eat lunch hopefully every other day. If your good at your job they will work you and give you the hardest tasks. If you ask HR for help they will give you a 1800 number to call. The sometimes go to 12 hr shifts when demand is there than change back to 8 it keeps you flexible.

Cons

Management cant stop staring long enough at you instead of talking to you. You are always being judged, perception is everything. so judging a book by its cover is what is important to them. They do not like conflict so they will not approach people who have alot of experience that defy what they are trying to do even if it is just an opinion they like Yes men/women. Too many lies they say one thing and end up doing another. They dont give raises and once they do they find any way to get you out of there to save money.

Pros

Good entry level experience if you don't mind rude, unhelpful management. Expect to be shoved in with no training, they took out the training classes they once had, and expected to survive with no support from leadership.

Cons

Everything else. Toxic work environment. Milgard Aurora, not speaking of other locations, has sub par leadership, including senior staff. Milgard will dump a tremendous amount of responsibility on you and watch (not help) you deteriorate. I will not and do not recommend this position if you are a hard worker, quick learner, or in any way sane.

Pros

Milgard has some really fantastic employees and produces a decent product. Though they do not pay "top" dollar, it is better than many others.

Cons

The employees are treated like slave labor. Sure, there is plenty of overtime, but that pales considerably when you are trading time with your family. 17 hour days are not uncommon and though they talk a great game when it comes to improvements, they seldom materialize. Som e changes do get implemented, but only to revert backwards after a short period of time.
