Pros

Not many good things to say about this company to be honest.

Cons

After being " encouraged" to inflate the company's glassdoor rating, I havd decided to give an honest account of my experience so far. Dewalt's former sales management was co opted by former Dewalt CEO and now current Milwaukee Tool CEO Joe Galli. It seems any ties with Dewalt gets you promoted around here. There is a philosophy, brought by Joe Galli, to recruit young, good looking college kids straight out of school. If you happen to have been a college wrestler, then you are likely to get preferencial treatment as Joe Galli is a former wrestler. Anyway, pay is inadaquate and work load is exhausting. This company resembles a cult like experience. You have to look the part at all times. Gain 10 lbs too much and your job is on the line. Let your hair grow a little and your manager will take notice. These superficial trait seem to matter more than being good at what you do. Unless you are into self torture, I highly recommend looking elsewhere as I am doing now. Heed my advice. Everything I stated is fact as I know them to be.

Pros

You will learn a lot and not realize it. The fringe benefits are great, such as the cafeteria and building. Most people are great and will help you out when you ask.

Cons

Lots of presentations! Seems like more work on them than actual work on the project. No bonuses or extra pay until manager level. So many middle managers! They will push you and load you up with work. If you have a family, less and less time will be with them. If you like to drink the kool-aid, you'll do great!

Pros

Consistently successful business No fear of layoffs at this point, which has been harder to find in a company lately

Cons

The company certainly sells a good story of "disruptive innovation" and "one team mentality" that make it seem like an exciting place to work, and I suppose it is... if you are willing to accept all the chaos that comes with it. It's almost like leadership expects a cult-like following from their employees. You are supposed to be "obsessed" with the brand and the customer. Everything revolves around this. Fine, the company needs to make money. But what are they giving employees in return for their blind loyalty? - No paternity and leave the absolute bare minimum of maternity leave (this is frankly embarrassing in 2022 and good indicator of how much they do not value employees) - Refusal to adapt a hybrid work structure even though the company is spread across multiple buildings any way because "culture" (read: control) - Average to below average pay and bonus structure, even after quarterly flaunting of profitability and growth by leadership - Horrible work-life balance in many areas - Very few corporate holidays compared to other companies - If you care about working for a company that is at all progressive, this is not that... the company is run by a group of white men and it shows. They've been getting away with this because the economy has been horrible the past few years while their business has been booming, and there have been very few big companies to work for in Wisconsin that are consistently successful. At some point this is all going to catch up to them. At the end of the day this is a job and people aren't working for fun, they are working for compensation and benefits. Employees have more choices now - why would they continue to work for a company that expects everything from them for peanuts in return?
